![]() Each year UMS mark scales will differ due to the difficulty of the exam paper and how students across the country performed on that particular year. Raw marks are converted to UMS scores, which will have a different maximum. A raw mark is the mark scored on the paper, the maximum is therefore the maximum stated on the front of the exam. Your results sheet may present you with a raw mark or a UMS mark.
